EV & hybrid servicing in Walsall

Tyres, brakes, suspension and cabin filters — the routine, non-high-voltage work every EV and hybrid needs, done honestly. Serving the whole West Midlands.

What EV & hybrid servicing covers here

Tyres

EVs are heavier and torquier than equivalent petrol cars, which can accelerate tyre wear — regular checks matter.

Brakes

Regenerative braking means pads and discs often last longer — but they still need checking, and can seize from underuse.

Suspension

Extra vehicle weight from the battery pack puts additional load through suspension components over time.

Cabin filter

Same routine replacement need as any car, keeping the cabin air system clean and the heating/cooling efficient.

Regenerative braking changes brake wear — not eliminates it

Regen braking often extends pad and disc life by doing much of the slowing electrically — but less use can mean discs corrode or pads stick from sitting unused. We check EV brakes for this specifically, not just for wear.

High-voltage work — quoted per job

Work on the high-voltage battery pack, drive motor or HV cabling requires specific certification and is quoted per job.

Get in touch with your vehicle's details and we'll confirm scope, certification requirements and pricing before any high-voltage work is booked.

Common questions

Can you service my EV or hybrid?+

Yes, for the routine, non-high-voltage work every EV and hybrid needs — tyres, brakes, suspension and cabin filters. High-voltage work (battery pack, drive motor, HV cabling) requires specific certification and is quoted per job — get in touch and we'll confirm scope before booking.

Why do EV brakes need checking if regenerative braking does most of the work?+

Regenerative braking recovers energy by slowing the car through the motor, which means the physical brake pads and discs are used less — often extending their life. But less use can also mean discs corrode or pads stick from underuse, so they still need regular checking, just for a different reason than on a petrol car.

Do EVs need less servicing overall?+

EVs have no oil, filters or timing belt to service, so some routine servicing items drop away entirely. But tyres, brakes, suspension, cabin filters, and the general safety checks a service covers still apply — an EV isn't maintenance-free, just different.

Do you work on the high-voltage battery or drive system?+

High-voltage work is quoted per job and depends on the specific vehicle and the work required, and on the certification it calls for. Get in touch with your vehicle's details and we'll confirm what we can do before anything's booked.

Will servicing my EV here affect the manufacturer warranty?+

For the non-high-voltage work we carry out — tyres, brakes, suspension, cabin filters — using correct parts and procedures does not affect your manufacturer warranty. We'll always be clear about what's in and out of scope for your specific vehicle.
